This colour laser printer (HL-L3280CDW) is designed solely for printing. The Brother HL-L3270CDW Laser is replaced by it. This stand-alone printer is compatible with the TN229XL high-yield cartridges and can be signed up for Brother’s Refresh ink/toner subscription service. It uses Brother’s TN229 toner cartridges. Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and USB connectivity choices are available, along with support for Mopria Print Service and Apple AirPrint. You can view its several variants under the Differences Between Variants section. They differ slightly in terms of features and performance.

For domestic use

For family use, the Brother HL-L3280CDW is a suitable printer. All members of the household may easily use it because of its many connectivity choices, and because of its high page yield and reasonably priced toner cartridges, it doesn’t require much ongoing maintenance. It prints swiftly and produces extremely sharp documents, but its limited color gamut makes it unsuitable for printing images, as the printing pattern is noticeable on the final product. For some people, the absence of a scanner could be a deal-breaker.

For office use

For an office printer, the Brother HL-L3280CDW is a good fit. It prints at up to 28 pages per minute, produces exceptionally sharp papers, and warms up rapidly. It is easy for everyone in the company to access thanks to its multiple connectivity options, which include Ethernet and Wi-Fi. A lot of prints may be produced with standard toner cartridges, and extra-long-lasting XL cartridges are available. Because replacement toner is reasonably priced, you won’t have to worry about excessive operating expenses. Regretfully, some offices may find the absence of a scanner to be a deal-breaker.

For students

Students can use the Brother HL-L3280CDW with success. It warms up rapidly, prints at a rate of up to 28 pages per minute, and creates remarkably crisp documents. You won’t have to worry about exorbitant running costs because its toner cartridges are reasonably priced and produce a lot of prints. Its primary flaw is that it doesn’t have a scanner, which could be annoying if you need to make copies or scan textbooks.

Black and white printing

When printing black-and-white documents, the Brother HL-L3280CDW works incredibly well. It prints papers quickly—up to 28 pages per minute—and with excellent quality. Its toner cartridges are also reasonably priced and produce a lot of prints, making it inexpensive to maintain over time. However, since it is a print-only device, you will want an additional scanner if you need to scan anything.

Photo printing

When printing photos, the Brother HL-L3280CDW performs poorly. Because this model can only create a limited range of colours and prints at a low quality, printed photographs appear terrible. Further detail loss results from the printing pattern being extremely visible, as is the case with most laser printers.
