The Epson EcoTank ET-2800/2803 is an all-in-one supertank inkjet printer which is compatible with Epson’s T522 ink cartridges. It features an 8.5″ x 11″ flatbed scanner without an automatic feeder or fax capability, a 100-sheet input tray, and a 1.5-inch display.
It is compatible with Epson’s Smart Panel mobile software, supports Mopria Print Service and Apple AirPrint, and includes Wi-Fi and USB connectivity. The printer in question is the Epson EcoTank ET-2803, however it is only available from Walmart and Target stores. Our analysis is relevant to both models.
Domestic use
The Epson EcoTank ET-2800/Epson EcoTank ET-2803 works well when put to domestic use. Its remarkable page yields and low cost of ink bottle refills make it incredibly affordable to maintain over time, relieving some of the financial strain.

Longer papers require more effort to scan because there isn’t an automated document feeder to process pages rapidly.
Photo printing
As a photo printer, the Epson EcoTank ET-2800/Epson EcoTank ET-2803 operates fairly well. It uses dye-based inks, which result in sharp, high-contrast images. Although colours seem vivid, printed images probably won’t look exactly like the originals because of their mediocre accuracy. Additionally, there is a discernible amount of grain and occasionally an excessive contrast, which causes details in the bright and dark areas of the image to be lost.
