The Epson EcoTank ET-2850 is an all-in-one printer oriented for home and office use. With one exception—it lacks the SD card port found on the now-discontinued Epson EcoTank ET-2760—it is functionally and aesthetically identical to its predecessor. It features an 8.5 x 11 flatbed scanner, a 100-sheet input tray, and USB and Wi-Fi connectivity. Because it doesn’t have an automated feeder, it can only print and scan in duplex.
For domestic use
For family use, the Epson EcoTank ET-2850 is excellent. Its tanks can hold hundreds of pages of printing before needing to be refilled, and replacement ink is reasonably priced. A flatbed scanner is available for scanning old photos, sketches, or recipe book pages. It prints incredibly detailed, crisp photographs, but because of its poor colour fidelity, most of the images won’t exactly appear like the original.
For office use
The Epson ET-2850 is ideal for office usage. Because of its supertank technology, you may print a large number of pages each week without having to purchase new ink bottles, which are reasonably priced considering how many pages you can get out of a refill. Sadly, it isn’t the greatest for high-volume scanning because it lacks an automatic document feeder. It prints slowly as well, which is not good if you’re pressed for time.
For students
For students, the Epson EcoTank ET-2850 is an excellent option. This is wonderful if you have a lot of printed essays and reports to turn in because you can print hundreds of pages per week and still have enough ink to last you months. You may quickly scan handwritten notes or textbook pages with its flatbed scanner. Using the smartphone app or a connection to the printer, you can print wirelessly. Sadly, it prints slowly, so you’ll have to wait patiently for your lengthy documents to print.
Black and white printing
It is possible to print in black and white with the Epson ET-2850 with reasonable success. This is fantastic if you print a lot of pages for your small business or schooling because you can print thousands of pages before the black ink runs out. The low cost per print is achieved by the cheap cost of the ink bottle combined with the high page yield. Additionally, document quality is quite good. Unfortunately, if you frequently print lengthy, multi-page reports, you will find its slow printing speed to be inconvenient.
Photo printing
While printing photographs, the Epson EcoTank ET-2850 works well. It prints well detailed photos and has a wide colour gamut, but its colour accuracy is not good; many shades are reproduced incorrectly and some images have a definite bluish tone. Positively, the ink tank gives a lot of prints and new ink is reasonably priced, so its cost per print is quite low.
