Designed for home usage, the HP DeskJet 4155e is an all-in-one inkjet printer. While it is the same as the HP DeskJet Plus 4155, HP+, the company’s ink subscription service, provides a complimentary six-month supply of ink. It works with the HP 67, 67XL, and 67XXL cartridges and has a two-cartridge system with one black and one tri-colour cartridge. It is compatible with Mopria Print Service, Apple AirPrint, USB, and Wi-Fi, and it can be used with the HP Smart mobile app. Although its scanner is automated, duplex scanning is not supported.
For domestic use
For family use, the HP DeskJet 4155e is not up to par. Because the ink cartridges run out rapidly, it is expensive to maintain and has poor print quality for documents and images. Additionally, it prints really slowly, which could be an issue if multiple people share a printer in your home. Although the scanner includes an automatic feeder, it isn’t the best option for scanning images because it is slow and generates scans with poor detail.
For office use
For office use, the HP DeskJet 4155e is an insufficient device. It prints quite slowly, creates documents of mediocre quality in black and white, and needs a lot of maintenance because the ink cartridges empty quickly. Additionally, although though it has an automatic document feeder, you will still need to manually flip double-sided papers because it is slow and does not enable duplex scanning. It lacks Ethernet, which could be a problem for organizations that depend on a wired LAN connection. However, it does include Wi-Fi and USB connections.
For students
The HP DeskJet 4155e is a middling alternative for students. It prints at a very slow pace—just three pages per minute—and has poor print quality, especially for black and white papers. This makes it less than ideal if you need to print an assignment at the last minute. The ink cartridges also run out quickly, necessitating frequent replacements, which raises the overall cost of ownership. The scanner lacks an automatic feeder, and its scan quality is poor due to its inability to capture fine details and its inability to extend the hinges on the lid, which makes it difficult to close the lid over heavier objects like textbooks.
Black and white printing
The HP 4155e prints in black and white with poor quality. It prints papers with noticeable banding and misalignment, indicating poor print quality. In addition, because the ink cartridges empty quickly, it prints quite slowly and requires a lot of maintenance. Even while XL and XXL high-yield cartridges are available, if you print a lot, you’ll probably still need to replace them. When the printer urges you to turn pages over, you must manually flip them over because double-sided printing is manual.
Photo printing
When printing photos, the HP 4155e performs poorly. Images are flat, grainy, and detail-poor. Its colour accuracy is very poor; the majority of colours appear drastically different from the original. It prints slowly, taking over two minutes to print a 4″ x 6″ photo, and sadly, it’s expensive to maintain because the ink cartridges run out rapidly.
