A disappointing printer, the HP ENVY 5014 is a lot like the HP ENVY 5055. Because of has brilliant hues, it prints images with good overall quality and outstanding colour accuracy. Unfortunately, the page yield is extremely low for both colour and black and white printing, so if you print a lot, you’ll need to buy new cartridges on a regular basis. Fortunately, high-yield cartridges are also available at a reasonable price. Sadly, the printer is poorly constructed and lacks a sheetfed scanner, thus scanning lengthy, double-sided documents will take some time. In certain stores, it is also marketed as the HP ENVY 5012 printer.
For domestic use
For home use, the HP ENVY 5014 is a basic printer. Although the color accuracy and photo printing quality are fair, the color page yield is relatively low, requiring frequent replacement of the cartridges. It’s not the best for scanning multi-page documents because it only has a flatbed scanner, but it should work well for scanning your treasured family images.
For office use
For workplaces, the HP ENVY 5014 is a bad choice. Its output of black pages is extremely low, and although the cartridge is inexpensive, the expenses mount up over time. Large document scanning takes a long time because it lacks a sheetfed scanner. Finally, printing documents in black and white takes a long time.
For students
For students, the HP ENVY 5014 is a subpar option. Because of its extremely poor page yield, purchasing new cartridges can get expensive over time if you print a lot of documents for school. Positively, if you need to duplicate your textbooks, it has a high-resolution flatbed scanner.
Black and white printing
Not good for printing in black & white. Due to the HP ENVY 5014’s extremely poor color page yield, replacing the cartridge is necessary frequently. Fortunately, the black ink cartridge is reasonably priced, and you may also get a high-yield cartridge. Unfortunately, it takes a while to print pages in black and white.
Photo printing
The HP ENVY 5014 prints casual photographs quite well. It prints photos with detail and brilliant colors and has good color fidelity. Unfortunately, because of the printer’s extremely poor color page yield, printing images eventually becomes expensive. Photos that are 5″ x 7″ and 4″ x 6″ can be printed, but not 2″ x 3″.
