Designed for office use, the Lexmark MC3426i is an all-in-one color laser printer. It makes use of a four-cartridge system that works with both Lexmark’s C341X high-yield cartridges and C3210 normal cartridges. It has a manual page feeder, support for up to three input trays, cloud fax and copy capabilities, and an ADF scanner with duplex scanning capabilities. In addition to USB support for external storage devices, it has Ethernet, Wi-Fi, USB Direct, Apple AirPrint, Mopria Print Service, and Lexmark’s Print app among its connectivity choices.

For domestic use

If all you want to do is print documents, the Lexmark MC3426i is a fantastic printer for the family. It offers a very cheap cost per print and an exceptional page yield for both black and colour printing. The minimal maintenance requirements are due to the low chance of clogging, which comes with being a laser printer, and the high yield means that you don’t need to replace the cartridge very often. Excellent print quality is achieved by this printer by producing vivid colour charts and images together with sharp black text. However, given that this printer is primarily intended for use in offices, its colour accuracy, colour gamut, and photo printing are all below average.

For office use

The Lexmark MC3426i is a great printer for offices. It prints swiftly at 26 black pages per minute and 25 colour pages per minute. It has an excellent page yield for both black and colour papers, at about 1900 and 1500 pages, respectively. Both black and colour papers have excellent print quality. Its extensive feature set, which includes automated duplex scanning via its ADF at up to 22 pages per minute, and its numerous connectivity choices make it easy to operate. Finally, even though the toner door is generally well-built, there are a few brittle elements that give me doubts about how long it will last.

For students

Although the Lexmark MC3426i is truly intended as an office printer for organizations that print thousands of pages each month, it performs admirably for student use. However, because of its great page yield and cheap cost per print, toner won’t break the bank if you need to print this much as a student. This printer is easy to operate and accessible thanks to its many connectivity choices. The print quality is outstanding, yielding vivid colour charts and graphics and sharp black text that are perfect for adding a pop of colour to a lab report. It also features a fully functional scanner that can scan up to 22 pages per minute in duplex mode, making it easy to scan your notes before exams or midterms. However, it isn’t appropriate for printing any image with fine or minute details, just like all laser printers.

Black and white printing

Excellent black-and-white papers with sharp-looking fine details like charts and graphs and crisp, readable text are produced with the Lexmark MC3426i. This printer offers very low cost per print and great page yields. Although it takes a while to print the first page, black-and-white documents print 26 pages per minute.

Photo printing

Photos printed by the Lexmark MC3426i are not of very good quality. Its limited colour gamut limits the range and contrast of colours it can print, and it also has trouble accurately reproducing colour. These are problems common to all laser printers. Additionally, it is unable to produce fine or minute details in photos, making background objects in shots appear obscure and difficult to perceive. Having said that, adding a pop of colour to an office document such as a chart or graph is acceptable, and colour images have a low cost per print due to their high colour page yield.
